Bromeliad Whispering
A photographic presentation which explains common bromeliad terminology, introduces basic bromeliad botany, and reveals the science behind many common bromeliad horticultural practices. While intended to be a comprehensive Bromeliad Basics program, this lecture is also fun for the experienced grower as it provides a quick bromeliad botany refresher along with a sneak view into commercial practices that can be incorporated into the home garden.

Bromeliads Live!
Bromeliads Live is a hands-on bromeliad care workshop with no projector necessary! Perfect for clubs who don’t have an AV setup or who like to get their hands dirty. Stephanie will bring in a variety of bromeliads tools, and growing products and demonstrate common horticultural practices including how to know when bromeliad pups are ready to be clipped, how to pollinate bromeliad flowers to make hybrids, how/ when to re-pot bromeliads in a collection and how to select the right location for newly purchased plants. Soil mixes, fertilizers, and pesticide choices will be discussed, as well as how to troubleshoot common problems bromeliad owners may have with their collections at home. This will be an open demonstration where questions will be welcome and encouraged.

Mindful Garden Design- Less Weeding, More Wine
This is a live lecture which follow the steps of planning and developing a garden from start to finish. Along the way, you will learn how to create a working plan, consider lighting zones, space plants properly, source accurate plant information, maximize plant density, and create easily maintainable planting beds. Be prepared for unique tips that will make weeding easier and clever design ideas that will distract people when you just don't have time to weed! The emphasis will be on teaching you to be mindful as you garden. We will go over EVERYTHING from how to create plantings that leave room for future home repairs, to how to protect your plants from lawn service mishaps, and even how to keep your non-gardener spouses interested and supportive throughout the whole gardening process.

The Many Forms of Bromeliaceae
Join me on a journey exploring the many forms, colors and stories found within the amazing Bromeliaceae family. For the last 9 years I have been photographing bromeliads from a few private South Florida plant collections. I have captured hundreds of images of unusual genera, of rare mutations, of crazy blooms and of unique horticultural moments. Taking these beautiful photographs made me fall even more in love with this plant family and I want to share that passion with you! Best of all, since all my photographs are from Local South Florida Collections, all these amazing plants can be grow in your own gardens.
